Southern Maryland Center for Family Advocacy provides court advocacy and legal representation to victims of domestic and sexual violence and stalking in Southern Maryland. Services include legal advocacy and representation in District courthouses, case management, emergency shelter, and crisis management.

Pro Bono Legal Services
Program Description:
Southern Maryland Center for Family Advocacy provides the following services free of cost to survivors of domestic violence and/or sexual assault:
Legal Advocacy and Representation: Legal representation in protective order and family law cases, legal consultation, and advocates in each District courthouse.
Case Management: Safety planning, transportation assistance, social services guidance, victim's compensation, and the Maryland Safe at Home Address Confidentiality program.
Emergency Shelter and Crisis Management
If you are filing for a protective order during court hours, please see one of SMCFA's advocates located in the District Courthouses in St. Mary’s County, Calvert County, and Charles County.
